Bababoom Festival

Forum Area hosts debates and meetings with socially active people of local and national importance, press conferences and interviews with artists and festival guests, book launches and musical project presentations, dance courses with dancing masters, documentary shows. Within the framework you can find a pub zone with a large selection of microbrew beers. In this area Bababoom association will promote the multi-purpose ecological oasis of Marina Palmense project. Each night, at the end of main stage concerts, Forum Area turns into Dance-Hall, with MC and DJ set and music until the dawn, embracing the great family of reggae music up to hip hop, jungle and modern D’n’B. In previous festival editions we met such artists as Heavy Hammer, Herb A Lize it, Kill Dem Crew, Villa Ada Posse. Dub Area is for homemade sound system and long play record music. Dub, Roots, Digital and Steppa are the main musical genres and the area has already hosted some international artists as Shanti-I e Zion Train and italian ones as Muccigna Roots e Dread Lion Hi Fi. Space Buddha is an area devoted to meditation, wellness treatments, and group trainings. There will be some therapy lab every day: hatha yoga, active meditation, biodance, chinese and thai massage. Besides, some individual treatments will be available: global breath, plantar reflexology, ayurvedic, thai, shiatsu and sound massage, craniosacral therapy, crystal healing and reiki. Art Exhibition is the painters and writers’ zone. We invite all the visual artists to sign up for Art Contest 2015. In addition to the show of their own works in the area and a free pass to enoy the festival, some winners will be picked out to Rototom festival, in Spain, the biggest european reggae festival which Bababoom collaborate with. Festival organization has arranged other two free entry zones: Free Yard Area will wait for you every afternoon, on a sand beach, to dance or simply to bathe and get a tan, enjoying the good vibrations! Any crew and sound selecta is welcome, a music console is on hand. A food service will be working in the area. Kite Park, in cooperation with Tribal Kite association, is a landkite and kite surf area where amateurs and professionals can challenge themselves, taking part in Bababoom Kite Tournament.
